Last Day!

Ok this was the most amazing experiance of  my life!!! Thank you to everybody! I have walked away with a silver in continious sparring! A bronz in point sparring, and a bronze in Extreme!  In the extreme I was sitting in fourth and moved up to third on the last day and everybody says that is really hard to do, so I am very happy! It was amzing on the first day.  I fought a U.S. girl and I beat her then I ffought a Irish girl but I lost but it was a really good fight.  I lost by 2 points. Then, on the second day, I did my extreme form and it was all Canadian girls except one U.S girl! Then in continiuos I had to fight two English girls!!! Thank you again!

Finals Today

Emily heads to the finals today for her Extreme Kata.  She has a tough job ahead of her as she is currently sitting in 4th position.  She nailed her kata in the preliminary rounds ... so we hope she can do the same for today and hope the judges notice her!


As well, this morning, Emily fights in Continuous sparring in the GOLD medal round!  Please send good vibes her way!!! 

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and kind words - it has really meant the world to Emily!!!!  We're so proud of her great accomplishments - although the word "proud" just doesn't quite cut it!

After Day Two

On day one, I got a 3rd for point sparring. I fought against a U.S girl and beat her!!! Then I had to fight an Irish girl and I lost by 2 points. But still got a third. Then today I got a fourth in my extreme kata and going on to finals on Tuesday!!! I have continuous sparring tomorrow! A lot of people have been getting hurt and bloody noses. I hope that doesn't happen to me!!! Can't wait to get back and see everybody!!


P.S Raegan And Alexis I have kissed the left K and W!! It is really good luck!!!!!!!

Hey it is the first day of competition and I am so nervous. For the opening ceramony I was chosen to carry the sign in for Canada!!! Today I am fighting point with  6 - 10 other girls in my division.

I would like to thank all of the gr 6/7 class for the comments!!!  I have to head down thank you again sooooo much it is an amazing excperiance.  Thanks everyone for your encouragement!

Mistake

We were mistaken and Emily's first fight doesn't begin until tomorrow morning at 11:00 am Portugal time (subtract 5 hours for Ontario time).  Will let you know how it goes!  Having troubles getting pics uploaded - technology never seems to work when you want it to!  Anyway, we will keep you posted and if you're a Facebook friend we'll post there as well!

Were Here!

Hi everybody, just got to are hotel! It is amazing. When we got to the competition we got our passport for the tournament.and then weighed in. When you weigh in at Nationals that is your weight so at  worlds you have to weigh in at the same division. I made my division which is good otherwise I would not be able to fight.  A few people didn't make their division so they were running up and down the street with sweat suits on trying to loose their weight. We had a team meeting just to pump us up!!! I have also been practicing like crazy! Competition starts tomorrow and the opening ceramony is at nine am.   I have my first division at 11 am.  Keep you updated!

Small Town

Hi,  last night we got into a small town that is not bussy at all we love it. when we woke up we had breakfast and went for a walk down to the beach. The beach is the best part! today we went through a little tunnel and it brought us to a shipreck that only looked like it would be in a movie. Then we spent some time down there than headed up to the room to get are bathing suits on and get a tan! The pool here is so warm it is like a hot tub. Now we are heading out for supper talk to you soon.


p.s compotition starts on Thursday and mm mom did share some of her chocolates.
